Trooper's Narative: On Monday, August 5th, 2024, around 2:44 a.m., I was in the area of Interstate 630 West near John Barrow. I noticed a Silver Toyota Camry driving slowly below the speed limit. After following the car for a bit, it took the first available exit and then made a quick left turn into an area without any open businesses or homes. As the vehicle entered John Barrow, I observed it switch from the right lane to the left lane without using a turn signal. At that point, I activated my emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop. However, the vehicle accelerated quickly into a parking lot, turned around, and started heading back towards John Barrow. I informed Troop A Communications that I was in pursuit of the vehicle. As we reached speeds of 70 MPH, I performed a maneuver that caused the vehicle to turn and leave the roadway, eventually coming to a stop in the parking lot of a private business. I then observed one occupant, later identified as Kenyon Hobbs, running from the vehicle. I was able to catch up to him and place him in the back seat of my patrol vehicle. Another occupant, Nisiyia Mason, was also found in the vehicle. Both occupants claimed they didn't know who was driving the car and said they were asleep during the incident. Unfortunately, the driver managed to escape on foot and couldn't be located, even with assistance from the Little Rock Police Department K9 unit. The vehicle has been held for further investigation as the search for the driver continues. #cops #copsoftiktok #policeoftiktok
