@solsticemoontarot: the magic of blocking 🫶 INFO ⬇️ craft: crochet pattern: from a youtube video from the channel “it’s erin b.” titled “crochet poncho tutorial & pattern ✨ easy crochet poncho for ALL SIZES!” * i used the symmetrical poncho pattern and used the increase pattern for the 2XL - 5XL sizing yarn: lion brand mandala yarn cake in the color “warlock” *i didn’t start with a fresh skein and had to use a little more yarn from a second skein, so in total i probably used a whole skein? maybe a little less? hook size: US G (4.50mm) other tools used: a stitch marker to mark the beginning of my rows, and a darning needle to weave in my ends blocking method: steam *i boiled water in a large pot and put a strainer over the water, keeping in mind to not have so much water in the pot that it would touch the strainer itself. then i gently placed the poncho into the strainer so it formed and lumpy pile, and i let it sit for one minute. i lifted it up, flipped it so that the initial steamed side faced upwards, and then gently placed it the same way once more, letting it steam for another minute. once it was done, i lifted it, laid it flat until dry, and then weaved in my ends. optional: i made this before and after blocking video hehe #crochet #crochetponcho
