I did not simply want you, i leaned towards you the way the sea spends its whole life returning to the same shore, i can never learn how to stay away from you, i longed for the quit geography of your hands, the language of your lips, the shelter of your arms, my heart carried your name with the same certainty that rain carries the sky, that morning carries the sun, that unwritten words carry the hope of one day being read, there was no measure for what i felt, even if every cloud surrendered it rain, it would never have been enough to quite the fire that loved you without end.
