@matkearney: My lifelong collaborator, Trent Dabbs, brought in the bones of this song. I deeply resonated with the idea of trying to be there for someone who was going through something incredibly difficult. The song wrote itself. The whole recording, everything happened in one afternoon. It doesn’t always happen that way, but when it does you know it’s going to be something special.
