EBONYI STATE: The voice note shows the moment a student Aye (NBM) number 3 (Chairman) who removed the number 1 man (Kpoi) to become the new Kpoi, installed the number 2 man (Chief Priest) and a new number 3 man. The boy in red at the center is Yagi, the Kpoi who was removed. The boy on the left is Osinachi, the Chairman who dissolved the Kpoi to become the new Kpoi. The boy on the right is Coinx, the former number 2 man, who was retained as number 2. The boy in the top-left picture is Ogbonna, the new Chairman installed by the new Kpoi. This internal NBM crisis led to the k**ling of an innocent “non-cultist”, which is why we are taking this case seriously. (Videos on TG) The crisis began after the NBM national leader, Charles Chimezie, removed the Abakaliki zonal leader, Daniel Nwando, causing a division among student NBM cultists at Ebonyi State University (Soweto HT). Some factions, including the student Chairman, remained loyal to Daniel Nwando and disobeyed the national order, while others, including the student Kpoi, obeyed. When the Kpoi realized the Chairman and others were against him, he called a meeting. At the meeting, the Kpoi was insulted by one of the Elders, while the Chairman watched. They later removed the Kpoi with the support of the Chairman and Chief Priest. The Chairman, Osinachi was then made the new Kpoi, and he installed Ogbonna as Chairman, and retained Coinx as Chief Priest. While one faction was searching for the other faction to att@ck, on July 24, they encountered a Viking who they told to identify himself before k**ling him. That same night, they also k**led an innocent non-cultist (a member of the Ebubeagu Security Network). If the authorities truly want to do their job, they should investigate these individuals to identify everyone responsible for the k**ling of the innocent man. Ordinarily, we would have blurred their faces to give them a second chance, but an innocent non-cultist was k**led during their internal clash. This should serve as a warning to all cultists: if you k**l an innocent man during your stvpid cult clashes, you have k**led a member of Naija Confra, and we will deal with you decisively.
