@rebelwithoutadrink: Replying to @Whitneyreneeee ADHD doesn’t necessarily explain every struggle you’ve ever had, but do you relate to some of these? #adhd #adhdtiktok #adhdinwomen #fyp #viral
Yes, 1000 times yes. What’s hard is when you finally can’t mask anymore and your family can’t understand where the fun, happy, energetic person went. And why you are all of a sudden so tired and being “diagnosed” with illnesses and disorder you didn’t have your whole life. So they think you are either attention seeking or literally going crazy

Diagnosed at 48. Covid sent me over the edge. Having everyone home in my space all the time made me realize something wasn’t right.

10/10. Diagnosed at 32 after I went off estrogen based contraceptives. I'd been on them since I was 15 and my gallbladder gave up. When that excess estrogen left, ADHD symptoms flared. No warning and I felt like I was losing my mind. Women have been so overlooked.

I was diagnosed as a child and wasn't told or medicated. I was diagnosed again in my thirties. Now, I'm experiencing perimenopause and I hit the wall. I'm exhausted, reclusive, and tired of pretending to be okay.

Diagnosed at 64. Wow! All of this is true and explains so much. I am a bit sad because apparently I am also on the spectrum. I grieve what I could have been if I had known this and been treated.

I just got on medication for ADHD, but about 10 years ago I started anxiety met because I kept getting adrenaline rushes. All day long, just everything would just give me an adrenaline rush. It didn't matter what it was. It was exhausting

I’m pretty sure I have ADHD and some autism …. I watch these clips and most things said checks with how I’ve felt my entire life… so my question is, if I get tested, how will that help? Can anyone confirm if formally knowing has helped them manage it better?
