@fancyratgirl: You cannot “fix” a damaged nail permanently. You can seal them, cover them, strengthen them temporarily. But those are band aids. Which is fine! But if you’re trying to grow YOUR nails, they need to be in tip top. #naturalnails #manicure #nailpolish #longnails #nailcare
Sharing for anyone who may be suffering from the same issue......Bliss Kiss nano file for peeling nails saved my nails. After years of following healthy natural nail advice to no avail, they finally all have white tips back on the free edge. They're still healing, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I've had long natural nails in the past, but peeling has been a continuous problem for so long now that I'd nearly given up hope. I'm kicking myself for not buying it so much sooner.

Forgive me if you've already said something about this, but would you recommend any glass files? Preferably more inexpensive ones 😅 I can't do like $20 for one nail file.

I was doing a silk wrap weekly on a nail that tore kinda far down my nail bed, but it finally grew to the free edge and I was able to chop it. It's so nice to see my nail again after weeks! I missed her

This is gunna be dumb. I’ve kinda dug though your videos for an answer. So I’m a nail biter, but if I polish them I don’t “typically” however.. I also chew the skin around my nails and cuticles even worse, like bloody/open wounds sometimes.. I work with cardboard all day, so my cuticles get super dry which makes to chew and pick at them. I’m currently oiling them multiple times during the day to try and combat that? Should I try and switch to somthing more heavy duty than oil? Doing the remover? As in theory.. if not dry and crusty.. I won’t be ripping and tearing them off 🙃 sorta like that one part in black swan? That me. It’s almost like an itch.. which it’s an ocd thing from what i understand. I’m sure lotion would help.. but unless my hands themselves are dry I can’t stand lotion. It’s just my fingy tips.

Why not patch the cracks and splits until they grow out

I’m finding my nails are getting weaker than they were before I started painting them. I use Sally Hansons hard as nails then 2 coats of normal varnish then 2 coats of top coat. When I take the varnish off to redo them they look rough and are very weak. My nails are pretty short as well so not sure what I’m doing wrong?

I cannot for the life of me grow out my nails…as I get past the nail plate, it snags and breaks😔 i tried jojoba oil soaks, cuticle oil several times a day + hand cream after each time I wash my hands, I bought Opi Nail Envy, Sally Hansen maximum growth, Eveline 8in1 intensive nail conditioner…I’ve tried square nails, squoval nails, oval nails…nothing helps :(

My thumb nails always split horizontally at the side wall right at the top of the nail bed. I started doing builder gel and that helped, but I don’t want to keep doing that and am starting my natural nail journey and it started happening again. What do you suggest to help with this? It’s just my thumbs, both hands, and both sides of the nail have had it happen 😭

My left middle finger has a split nail. I tried to use the Essie fix polish but it just wasn’t helping. I finally cut all my nails super short (they were already short) and am just leaving them alone and they’re growing pretty well.. no split yet! Patience is key

This video came to me literally right after a chop 🥲 I was halfway to almonds BUT several fingers still had peeling on the free edge from press-on damage 1.5 months ago. I was in denial for too long. Glass file + glass buffer + Essie gel couture + patience for the next six weeks 😅

Oh I was wondering about this since as my nails are growing out they're peeling at the edges from the damage. I have been picking at it and didn't know if I was causing more damage 😅

I just had my first nail break off since I began this journey with you and I'm so sad 😭 I am unwilling to cut them all though, so my right middle finger is just gonna be jank until it finally grows out. RIP to what looked like my very best manicure

This makes soooo much sense as to why my nails kept breaking for a hot minute after I stopped doing gel nails. I think I’m finally getting to the part where it’s grown out
