@lifegoalinvestments: Investors, ask yourself: "WHAT IS MY EDGE WHEN BUYING INDIVIDUAL STOCKS?" The market reflects the collective judgment of millions of investors, many with access to information, research, and resources most of us don't have. Unless you have a genuine informational advantage, concentrating your portfolio in a handful of stocks is often a bet that your opinion is better than the market's. For most investors, long-term wealth is built by consistently owning great businesses through broad diversification—not by trying to outguess everyone else. What's your take—do you prefer picking stocks or owning the market? 👇 #Investing #WealthBuilding #PersonalFinance #StockMarket

Yeah this is a bad take. Then don’t invest at all because everything is priced in. He’s cherry picking losers and not saying the great wealth created from individual stocks. Answer is very much in the middle.

I bought 3000 shares of Msft and it’s up 40 percent in a weak. Why did the smart people sell it?

Except everyone has a different time horizon, so you might be willing to give it more time than the average investor

My arrogance allowed me to beat the S&P500 over the past 15 years consistently by a lot…. I’m not diversified like all of those experts suggest and yet, my returns blow every expert out of the water.

I raised three kids on just over $25K a year (2026-adjusted). It wasn't easy, but we made it work. I even built our home without relying on a bank.
Looking back, the biggest lesson wasn't about making more money it was that steady progress comes from consistency and smart decisions, not from chasing every new trend.

Literally just buy and hold. I was down on Microsoft for almost a year. Never panicked, never sold now I’m green and my whole account is back to all time highs. As long you’re buying good companies while diversifying into at least 5-10 stocks/ETFs you should be okay.

I don’t get the issue when you diversify across sectors and keep each individual position small. And keeping a large ETF core

It’s fun though. And it feels good to own a part of a company whose products you use every day. For those wanting to make loads of money I agree… it’s gambling.

yeah, well we also want more than .5% growth per month and not pay a management fee to get access to double digit growth. im not suggesting day trading but we can easily mimic the most common top5 holdings of those ETFs, take small risks on some flyers and still put chunks into ETFs. buying and holding individual stocks isnt arrogance. it who and what youre buying

Sorry to break it down to you, but passive investors can copy active investors easily in 2026. I do not have to be the reader like buffet, I can copy his investments.
