I live in a small town and nearly every restaurant here that isn't a chain is using generative AI images. I don't understand why they can't just use actual pictures of their food and their building instead of an AI version. My friends and I are completely sick of it.

There’s someone here in Hoboken running an IG account dedicated to call out local business use of AI and I was pleasantly surprised to see a cafe acknowledge it and make change!

I’ve got so when I see those type of menus etc and I can’t even go in and eat there myself. I prefer people who use local graphic designers and other local businesses to work with.

I only care about if the food is good, that’s all . Who cares if they use ai art, the food matters . Look, I use ai art because idgaf but if ai art disappeared, I couldn’t care less. As long as other ai like ai assistant, ai medical research, ai education to help students, and ai in business are still around that’s all that matters to me.
