@anna..papalia: Did I miss any? Job hoppers have an undiagnosed mental health disorder. Figure that out and you will be able to hold down a job. You have only ever worked one job because you think your career is someone else’s responsibility. The sooner you realize someone isn’t coming to save you the better. You tell everyone you’re doing everything you can think of to get a new job but all you’re doing is filling out online job applications. If filling out job applications got you job you’d have a new job by now. A job interview is just a set of questions about you. But you don’t know how to answer interview questions because you don’t know who you are, what you want and where you want to end up. You are either waaaaaay too hard on yourself or not hard enough on yourself. If you never give yourself grace and you are your own worst critic, you will do too much prep and you will interview like a weird stiff robot- ya gotta relax a lil so they can see your personality. If you are too easy going you won’t be prepared and you’ll miss out on great opportunities because you didn’t take it seriously. Your resume is a mess because you don’t know how to edit. You are so afraid of taking anything off that you leave it all on and it’s a mess that someone else has to figure out. Clutter is nothing more than deferred decisions. Decide how you want to be seen and where you want to go and delete everything else. You feel stuck because you don’t know where you want to end up. You are focused on the wrong things. You are thinking a lot about what people aren’t doing for you. The guy that ghosted you. The company that never sent you that referral link. Your friend that didn’t talk to their boss for you. That jerk in your last interview. Instead spend that same time, energy and effort on what you can do for YOU. It’s your career after all. #jobsearchtips #jobinterview #job
