I like to imagine, if Merle made it to Alexandria with the group and Negan came. During the whole time Negan has Daryl, Merle will go on a rampage and single handly take out Negan and Dwight. THE MOMENT HE FOUND OUT DARYL IS THE PRISONER that would be it for Negan.
