That is the exact train of thought the doctor should follow if the TSH was above the normal range. Those results indicate no thyroid dysfunction.

physicians wont just "look at the numbers and say its in normal range so it's fine." maybe that's what they'll tell the patient it simplify it, but there are SO much more thoughts going on than "numbers in range = good" take it from someone whos worked with 100+ different providers

Yeah that’s not how it works my guy. There’s a time in place for doing a method like that, but when every single test comes back normal, there’s no need to do that. It’s a normal blood draw. Also TSH fluctuates a lot to ensure homeostasis and make sure that the right amount of thyroid hormone is circulating throughout the body

GPT gave me the eutiroidism diagnosis. I uploaded blood exams from 15 years - because I keep everything in PDF - and showed it to a doctor. My TSH kept going up for years without no one noticing.

Problem is that lab tests like this are meant to catch actual ailments like pre diabetes or hypothyroidism, if you have a general lack of health you’ll likely still fit in the reference range if you have no actual conditions but that doesn’t mean you’re healthy

yeah like thats from that specific blood draw and maybe the concentration was not high from that draw. so thinking like that would lead to unnecessary tests and could lead to creating healty anxiety for the patient. you treat the symptoms in front of you and use evidence based proactive approaches
