This week, I decided to go with something homemade… and it wasn’t about restriction or fear. It was about control…but before anyone gets upset, it’s not what you think!! Let me explain 😭😭 It was about taking control of my health and listening to what my body is trying so desperately to tell me. Lately, I’ve been pushing myself with my “Eat With Me” videos because I genuinely want to recover and share that journey. But after my recent lab work and cardiology appointment including an exam and discussing photos and videos from things going on, I was told I’ve most likely entered the early stages of RFS more than once. It wasn’t because of the Eat With Me’s themselves, it was simply from trying to introduce more nutrition while my body is still incredibly fragile. That’s one of the hardest parts. Some days I’ll feel so weak that I think, “Maybe half an Ensure will help me feel better.” Instead, my hands and feet swell, my veins become incredibly pronounced, and if I’m being completely honest, there are times it becomes difficult to walk. Choosing to slow down this week wasn’t easy. Part of me feels guilty because I want so badly to keep moving forward. But recovery isn’t about forcing progress; it’s about making the safest decision, even when it’s not the one you want. So this week, I’m honoring my craving a little differently. I’m finding homemade ways to enjoy the foods I’m looking forward to while giving my body the time it needs to catch up. Recovery isn’t a race. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is meet ourselves where we are instead of where we wish we were. 💛 Thank you @selenaeats2much for helping me get my appetite back and also the idea for this week’s Eat With Me. #eatwithme #eating #buldak #mukbang #eatingshow
