Rider here, agree with the assessment. If you want to see a really good celebrity (adjacent) rider, look up Jessica Springsteen, Bruce Springsteen’s daughter. Yes she has tons of money, time and resources and a string of incredible horses, but she’s also very talented and was on the Olympic team that won a silver medal a few years ago

Jessica Springsteen (Bruce Springsteen’s daughter) isn’t really a celebrity in her own right except for in the show jumping world she is because she has, in fact, been to the Olympics. So if we are counting her, she’s definitely the best celebrity equestrian.

As a former equestrian, yes they’re all actually quite decent, gotta give credit where it’s due, of course they’re not gonna be top of the line equestrians cause it’s just a hobby, but they’re definitely not bad at all even Kendall’s quite good. All 3 above average for sure.

Coming from someone who has ride horses since kid, almost anyone can be a top rider if you have the time and money for it. But there are also no push button horses when you go above certain level, those horses are trained to react to even smallest changes in riders balance etc and it’s not easy to achieve that level as a rider.

I’ve been riding my whole life and have just gotten back into competing and let’s be clear: this is truly either a money game or someone is undeniably talented. Let’s have a guess here. I am a very good rider and I can’t afford to compete anymore at the level I want to compete at. It is the unfortunate truth. Good for them they can afford the horses to compete at that level but let’s be clear… it’s the horses.

Kendall, Gigi, and formerly Bella are all intermediate best. Bella, since she started heavily training in cutting and doing a looooot of work on her actual technical ability & her 'feel', is now a solid advanced rider. not anywhere near pro or elite level, but advanced. knows what she's doing. did the work. Kaley Cuoco, who very briefly married the elite show jumper, cannot ride. Mary-Kate Olsen is a MAYBE advanced-intermediate. she can hop on a made horse and course around, what, 1.35m+ in the baby GPs?
