There is something you can do If you can back em off a little bit before it breaks, you can smack it with a shop hammer and it’ll back on off most of the time. Not a guarantee but it usually works. Give it a try next time

one of the most common problems in the commercial industry also is blasting them down with the gun. however, they manually take the torque ranch to them all because they were taught that way. unfortunately, it is too late because they're over torque.

Unfortunately, you go bay any Discount Tire, Firestone, Brake Check... anywhere that does lots of tire changes a day and you'll hear impacts slamming lug nuts all day long and people wonder why they can't replace their flat tire on the side of the road.

sometime after service not immediately... I went to rotate my tires and had to use about 270 ft lb to break my lugs loose. I'm surprised they didn't break with me driving down the road.

I'll use the impact to run the nut uptrend torque by hand. thereby Ave been several times they have been hard to break loose because someone tightened with an impact.

Brakes are removed so he can install new studs because it can’t leave with 3 out of 5 lugs.

You gotta throw a dugga in there! That’s how you avoid over-tightening. Come on Sherwood, everyone knows that!!😂 Dugga’s are “scientifically” proven to necessary to torque to spec

This is completely wild. If you broke it, regardless of the reason you have to cover it. What am I missing…

not when you live in the rust belt a carbide grinder works faster to put a groove in the spindles to get them out.
