@reasonmagazine: How did one of the richest neighborhoods in Vegas become a desert wasteland that cost taxpayers hundreds of millions in only 10 years? #Vegas #LasVegas #housing #NIMBY
Rich people don't pay for mistakes, tax payers do.

I worked on the Las Vegas City council when this all started. There were 2 seats that election ward 2 and 6. Seroka who had no idea what city council did and caused the city to be sued his other activities and Michelle Fiore who was recently pardoned by Trump. Wild times. Also there were 3 golf courses that sold in the city that year. Silverstone to the north in Fiore’s district .

Ah ok… I worked a week in a billionaire’s home in that neighborhood and I wondered why it looked so shitty when some of the homes cost 25 million plus. It looks really bad driving through even the streets and sidewalks are rough

When you buy a house in a golf course community, make sure to check the CC&Rs to be sure the course is not privately owned, which was the case here. The golf course can be sold and developed of privately owned. Buyers be informed.
