@Tyler Gardner is there a scheme that lays out a scenario where you'll likely only have a moderate buffer left if you pass 30 years after retirement? Incrementally increase the percentage of your total net worth that you withdraw over time, I assume?

Here’s a not so fun fact: if you leave your house today, a tree branch might fall on you. My guess is that won’t stop you from leaving the house. So why do we follow archaic financial rules that are literally based on the worst moments in stock market history? Riddle me that one, my friends.

Yea I'm probably just going to adjust my withdrawals based on actual market conditions and stick any excess in money markets to make sure I have at least year's worth in a risk free account so I can ride out economic downturns.

Yeah, I just finished reading the book die with zero and maybe I’m not going to do that exactly but I’m not gonna die with $10 million. I’m going to spend my money and get experiences.

So please tell us what percent people should be spending if they have a million. If 4% is too low, what’s the sweet point percentage to enjoy your money and still leave an inheritance to your children.

So frustrating to live on 4%. When...on average... 8% would do just fine. So if you had a 3 year cash buffer, and could ride out the first 10 years, your money would probably double by then, allowing you to spend down that 3 year buffer. I think about it all the time!
