Here’s the thing, you’re the parent. You know your child better than everyone else. You can take advice from wherever you choose, the doctor, other parents, your parents. But it’s up to you to make the decision decisions. This baby is fully ready to try eating, you know it, she knows it. Listen to your gut.

As soon as baby starts teething you give food. I dont know why people are so against feeding and are so scared. I wish people lived 100 years ago and raised a child and seen how theyre so paranoid now

Do you think her stomach magically changes the day she turns 6 months 🤣 It’s a recommendation around an average age. If your baby is showing signs of readiness a few weeks early, that’s ok. Listen to your babies cues.

Mom of 4. We do BLW. We wait til minimum 6m, sitting unassisted, has teeth, and showing interest. My third did get some mac n cheese on accident before then though 😅 She was 5m, and swiped it so fast off my plate. She ended up being way less interested in food overall though til she hit 1. My boys would down anything very quickly. I don’t cook extra meals for them. From the very beginning they eat what we eat, and just appropriately cut. The Solid Starts app is a great resource

Obviously talk with the pediatrician first; but every baby is different. If baby can sit up unassisted, hold their head up on their own, and shows interest in solid food then usually it is a good sign that you can begin to introduce solids even if they arnt quite to 6 months yet.

they actually can. my grandson was doing the same thing at 4 months and we started with purees. he's 7 months now and eats whatever we eat.

she os showing signs of readiness. ie can hold head up, good core strength and showing interest in food . you can most definitely let her atleast start tasting things.

My grandson who is 4 months his pediatrician says as long as he can hold head up well and shows interest in your food he can have puréed vegetables. i told his mom wow they do things different these days when my kids were small it was 6 months and start with cream of rice i Googled and sure enough it’s 4 months now so it’s changed

Our pediatrician said our son can have solids around 5 months, but to wait until his reflux was better. We started at 6 months, he's been so constipated. So there's that to look forward to also 😅
