The way this magic system gives a physical and visible body to what we lose in translation is so amazing. Like that’s just so insane to me and culturally relevant, that’s the dangers of the colonization of language and systematic oppression they are sinister because they are invisible. listening to the audiobook at the same time as annotating the physical book felt like I was being taught to and I absolutely LOVED my experience. doing it that way made it one of my favourite books ever
