that is why radical feminists are also gender abolitionists, it's so strange because trans right activists will on a surface level basis agree with the abolition of gender and then be very incredibly, obviously, pro-gender. but then again they also call themselves socialist whilst ignoring how feminism has no room for conservatism despite one convergence of a topic (specifically radical feminism) and that radical feminism largely has socialist origins

people keep bringing up trans people in this.. acting like cis people would readily give up their gender identity because they would hypothetically acknowledge that gender is made up. no? obviously the majority would not. I think the main point is to get rid of gender biases systematically!! like pay inequality, ect. (I have no issue with getting rid of gender in itself, it just doesn't feel realistic imo because most people are attached to their identity, and that is okay.)

I’m late to the party but yes. 100x yes. Gender norms are literally just made up. Makes my head explode when I hear about men wanting a 1950s housewife, like that’s the end-all-be-all.

You’re wrong. It’s not a social contract, gender replies to every single animal in the world. It’s what is used to identify indifferent us. Yes I do think gender wars are pointless and that we are equal, but we aren’t equal biologically. Males are stronger than females. There is a reason why I mentioned she didn’t play a woman’s sports. That’s not equal genders are a real thing. It’s not a social construct. There are advantages of both like women are more flexible, but men are stronger. That’s just how it is.

not even low key. the point of feminism is to raise the perseption of feminine traits in society. masculine traits are so prioritized that anything else is seen as less than. if little boys were not raised to believe the worst thing they can be is compared to a girl, then they wouldn't hate little girls so much and violence against women would go down.
