@abby_storer: Have you ever come across a Rocky Mountain goat? Today, I ran up to emerald lake to show you the Timponogos Herd- wearing @thenorthface Offtrail Ultra. The shoe is surprisingly light but comfortable, has a built-in gaiter to keep rocks and debris out, and a tough outsole with 5mm lugs. My favorite feature is the scrambling zone on the forefoot, making this a great technical shoe. There’s a 29mm heel stack and a 6mm drop. To translate for everyone who isn't a shoe nerd- it sits right in the middle of the cushion / technical spectrum for a trail shoe. There's not so much stack height that you can't feel the terrain under your feet, but there is enough to make the shoe feel comfortable. A 6mm drop is pretty standard and should feel familiar to many runners (balance won't be off, no unexpected wear on your Achilles or calves). I found the shoe very responsive and would wear it on both short and longer trail runs (up to 100mi + distance). @thenorthface #ad #offtrailultra #tnf
