i always found it to be super interesting that Lexa trusted Roan to lead to literally any extent, it didn't feel like she spared him bc she thought hed just be slightly better than his mother, the way she looked him in they eyes and told him long live the king felt personal and i always wondered if there was going to be more backstory to their relationship if lexa didn't end up being killed off. kinda felt like they had a past (obviously not romantic, i just mean in general) like Roan wasn't even rlly mad Lexa killed his whole ass mother. What did they know about each other? why did it feel like there wasn't any real animosity between them?
