people see an woman and man interact and immediately ship it. it's so stupid. especially saying stuff like "who needs mj when you have jean" or "jean is the better option" jean is not meant to be an love interest😭 and the worst it's mainly the Men that say this, not all but a lot. it proves that they didn't understand any scene with jean and Peter, in their last scene he was trying to let her know that she's not alone but of course people say they wanted them to kiss🤦♀️and people saying they Kissed are wrong since it wasn't Jeans body and she only did it to give Peter false hope and to mess with him, nothing romantic there😭😭😭

I agree 100% with this, for some warped reason when people see a woman save a man’s life and vice versa, they automatically ship them romantically for no reason other than they saved each other’s lives, and the people who ship Jean Grey and Peter together are the ones who don’t really watch this movie or know the characters, they just want to see a male and female character fall in love with each other as soon as they see a little bit care in Peter when he said, “you have me.” Even though he said this because Jean felt isolated and alone in the fact that she feels like she doesn’t fit into normal life.

Because people can't look at a boy and a girl on a screen together and not ship them, even when the sibling vibes are so obviously there or even outright said. They take any gesture of support of affection to mean romantic interest and act like friendship and familial love doesn't exist, or that found family isn't a huge theme in the MCU

She's 19 in this. Feige stated she's slightly younger than Peter who is 22 in BND judging by the 4 year time skip. Now since we don't hv an exact age and she's still stated to be in her 'teens', slightly younger is probably 19 or minimum 18

The bigger problem at play here is that people are so insanely against shipping culture that they're just. Making up facts so they can claim a ship is morally abhorrent. At no point in time does the movie ever comment on Jean's age, and Kevin Feige has explicitly stated "Jean is Peter's age, maybe a little younger". A "little" younger than 23 is like... 20, not 16. Just say you don't like a ship. That's okay. Stop making things up.
