When I was pregnant with my youngest i had gestational diabetes and had to stop drinking cokes. My oldest told her teachers I had a baby in the microwave (bun in the oven) and had to stop my coke habit.

My grandson said they didn’t have light at home. So they sent over every agency to help with light bill. The light bulb was out 🫤

When I was in 1st grade, we did this thing where we learned about different jobs, I announced to my class that I wanted to be a prostitute when I grew up, because I wanted to go to court. I meant prosecutor 😭 context, my dad is a cop so I had heard those terms before. Just got them mixed up 🤣

I had a student tell me they didn’t have any food in the house. I went to the school social worker to set the wheels in motion to get them some help. SW called mom and mom was super embarrassed. Apparently mom was in the mood for a sweet treat and looked at a fridge full of healthy food, didn’t find any snacks, and complained, as I have done many times, “There is nothing to eat in this house”. Kids are very literal 😂

In 7th grade I told my son to put salt on the frog to make it jump, they had to disect well, he made his lab partner pass out and he told the teacher it was my fault we both had detention lol

My husband hates reading out loud so he’d tell our boys when they were little that he didn’t know how to read. 🤦♀️I felt so bad for the teacher at parent/teacher conferences when she said she had to ask me about my husband’s illiteracy.

I had to warn my son's teachers that he had been listening to music from Glee and one of the songs was 'Do you wanna touch me there'. He is autistic and would often say the titles of songs he had heard.

My dad used to hunt and he was preparing a deer in kitchen when my big brother walked in (he was 3/4) asked what it was and my dad said Bambi so next day my mum got a call from brothers nursery asking to pick him up cause he had whole class in tears saying his dad unalived Bambi pmsl 😂

So, my brother got married out of state, so legally got married at the courthouse the day before the ceremony. The jail happened to be in the same building. We took their pictures by the “jail visitor waiting” sign.

People saying 'oh they should always talk to the parents before reporting to CPS' forget the reasons CPS exists. Sometimes, calling the parents first just means the kids get hurt for telling and there's time to remove evidence etc

My mum worked at the school. I told all the teachers that my mum was African, nothing wrong with that but my mum was BORN in Kenya to British parents and then grew up in Britain from the age of 6.
