This looks awesome! One idea: when the player walks into a wall, instead of just stopping dead, have them lean in or put a hand out like they're bracing themselves. Same with stairs, have them touch the side rail as they go down, and near small objects/ledges have them brush past with a hand instead of clipping through. Little touches like that make movement feel so much more alive

If I may give an idea for a Map... there is a place here in Puerto Rico called La Perla (The Pearl) maybe a map that has inspiration from there and the Favela from Brazil, hell maybe even La Comuna 13 in Colombia.
