@wildwanderrv: Well… this isn’t the update I was hoping to share. Less than 1,000 miles into owning our new Brinkley 4150, our main slide now needs a complete floor replacement. I want to be clear: Brinkley has been great to work with and they’re taking care of the repair under warranty. But I also believe it’s important to share the good and the bad. What matters most to me isn’t just getting it repaired. I want to know why it happened, whether there’s been a permanent fix, and if this is something other owners should be aware of. I’ll be documenting the entire repair process and sharing everything I learn along the way. Have you ever had a major warranty repair on a brand-new RV? I’d genuinely like to hear your experience. #RVLife #brinkley #rvliving #FullTimeRV #RVTips

Don’t you think the refrigerator and pantry on the slide is way to heavy , for the slide floor , how much stuff do you have in the pantry and fridge , more weight for it to slide ,Sounds like a poor design. Good Luck , only two months old, what is going to happen in years to come.

I believe your slide wasn’t adjusted correctly and came out too far.

That’s a lot of weight for a slide, not matter how it’s built. Very nice rig though, glad they are helping you on this.

Trying to reinvent the wheel. Motorhomes have been doing this for 30 years with no issues.

That’s such a bummer! There’s another family I follow that also has a brand new Brinkley (not sure the model) and I think they ran into the same or similar issue with 2 of their slides. Hopefully you don’t run into that damage again!

Sigh…from my 4100. How frustrating! We’re coming up on a year with ours and have only had possession about 40% of the year. Rethinking our choices, as we set off on a 9 months trip. Buyers remorse.

I wonder if they buy this particular floor from an outside source or they make it in house

Personally I think the designers of these rigs are not working with an structural engineer so they calculate the actual design and material to be used in the hole structure that’s why they all are breaking and have stress cracks on chassis

Has nothing to do with the rack and pinion on the slide it has to do with the frame trust me. It’s going to happen again after you put a couple hundred miles on it towing lippert frames are the problem!!!

I believe that problem comes from wen they set the slide then set it too far out,,,their hydraulics should not b set to take the slide out the far ,,if im not mistaken,,,its a pain to fix it bt once its fixed n the hydraulics nuts r adjusted then it should b good

not enough support across the span of that floor lip where that fiberglass is meeting that aluminum lip. I would think that aluminum lip would need to be a c channel where the fiberglass floor could slid up in it then flush mount pop rivet the two pieces together sandwiching it together. id say you are dealing with a lot of weight and stress right there until it gets up inside and the main floor can support the weight
