@louisepearce00: Yesterday, I closed a chapter that has been one of the greatest adventures of my life. Over 15 years ago, I put on a British Airways uniform for the very first time. I can still feel the sheer pride and joy, never imagining just how much this incredible airline would give me… A career I was so proud of, opportunities beyond my wildest dreams, and memories that will stay with me forever. I’ve been lucky enough to fly, recruit, train and become part of a family unlike any other. To every crew member, pilot, engineer, dispatcher, security, cleaner, caterer, baggage handler, and every single person working behind the scenes- you are the heartbeat of British Airways. I have had the privilege of seeing the people who make the seemingly impossible, possible, every single day. Thank you for every briefing, every walk to the aircraft, every belly laugh at 38,000 feet, every mentor, every suitcase, every room key, every sunrise over a new country, every time we got through it all together, every aeroplane, every bunk, every pasta at 4am, every sundowner, every adventure, every jump seat counselling session, every customer, every cheers, every dance, every tea and coffee, every crew bus journey, every ‘what time are we meeting,’ every SEP that turned into a hoot, every take off, every landing, every hug, every tear, and every friendship that turned into family. To everyone who has ever flown beside me, mentored me, supported me, thank you. You have helped shape the person I am today. As I step into a new chapter, I do so carrying everything this remarkable airline has taught me: resilience, professionalism, kindness, teamwork, and the belief that extraordinary things happen when people come together. British Airways wasn’t just my job. It was my home. It was my classroom. It was my adventure. It was my family. Thank you for letting me be part of your story.
