So I haven’t followed super close, but people seem to not understand how difficult it is to provide useful help to a loved one who is in a prolonged state of crisis. You can provide support and take them to experts, but that’s it. People clutching their pearls about him picking up food is ridiculous because that’s an actual useful thing to do when someone is going through hell.

3 kids are dead and everyone wants to create a villain to blame. Lindsay may be the person responsible but she’s not a villain she’s a victim of her mental health and the health care system. So is Patrick and so are their kids. There is no “brutal murderer” who premeditated this bc they were evil. People just can’t understand mental illness, they want to blame someone. To anyone who wants to blame the dad: He hired a nanny, put the older kids in daycare and had the grandparents over regularly. He worked from home. He supported the family so she could stay home and not go back to work. He took her to doctors and checked in with her. He helped get her checked in to a facility that she checked herself out of. She was never diagnosed with psychosis. She was never diagnosed with PPD or PPA. He was never told not to leave her alone with the kids. He loved her and then he came home after running errands she sent him on and discovered something no one should ever come home to. He had to find his babies dead.
