नेपाल र भारतबीचको सीमा सम्बन्धी विषय (विशेष गरी कालापानी, लिपुलेक र लिम्पियाधुरा) दुवै देशका लागि संवेदनशील र महत्त्वपूर्ण ऐतिहासिक तथा कूटनीतिक मुद्दा हो। यी क्षेत्रहरू नेपालका अभिन्न भूभाग हुन् भन्ने कुरामा नेपालमा साझा राष्ट्रिय सहमति रहेको छ। सन् १८१६ को सुगौली सन्धि र तत्कालीन नक्सा तथा ऐतिहासिक प्रमाणहरूका आधारमा नेपालले यी भूभागमाथि आफ्नो दाबी र स्वामित्व स्पष्ट रूपमा प्रस्तुत गर्दै आएको छ। तपाईंले उठाएका केही मुख्य पक्षहरूलाई यसरी हेर्न सकिन्छ: ऐतिहासिक प्रसङ्ग र सीमा विवाद: सन् १९६२ को भारत-चीन युद्धको समयमा भारतीय सेना कालापानी क्षेत्रमा बसेको र त्यसपछि पनि निरन्तर उपस्थित रहेको विषय नेपाली इतिहास र राजनीतिमा गम्भीर चर्चाको विषय रहँदै आएको छ। नेपाल सरकारले कूटनीतिक माध्यमबाट यो समस्याको समाधान खोज्न पटक-पटक पहल गर्दै आएको छ। तीर्थयात्रा र धार्मिक आस्था: मानसरोवर र कैलाश पर्वतको यात्रा धेरै नेपाली तथा भारतीय श्रद्धालुहरूका लागि पवित्र धार्मिक अनुष्ठान हो। धार्मिक आस्था र राजनीतिक/सीमा विवाद फरक विषय भए पनि सीमा समस्याले नागरिकहरूको भावनामा गहिरो असर पार्छ। समस्याको समाधान: दुई छिमेकी देशहरूबीच देखिएका यस्ता ऐतिहासिक र भूराजनीतिक विवादहरूलाई तथ्य, ऐतिहासिक दस्तावेज र कूटनीतिक वार्ताका आधारमा समाधान गर्नु नै उत्तम बाटो हो। सीमा र राष्ट्रिय अखण्डताका विषयमा नागरिकहरूले चिन्ता र राष्ट्रभक्ति व्यक्त गर्नु स्वाभाविक हो। जय नेपाल!
