I had post partum psychosis, I heard my colic baby crying even when he wasn’t and after 3.5 days after birth not sleeping, I starting thinking about going down the driveway in the middle of the night and walking in front of the next car that drove by. I knew something was very very wrong and called the emergency nurse line, thank god they took it seriously and gave my ex shit for not stepping up

My autistic brother went through psychosis when he was given wrong medication. It was a rough three months for us, but thankfully, we got through it. I definitely believe her because medication’s can make you do some crazy stuff. Also, the postpartum is a lot in itself as well. I hope she gets the help that she needs and deserved.

Cases like Andrea Yates, Susan Smith, and now Lindsay Clancy make me wonder, how do we distinguish between someone whose mental illness legally deprives them of criminal responsibility and someone who is mentally ill but still legally responsible?

Im genuinely so lost how this is the husbands fault😭✌ she was mentally there enough to tell him exact routes to run for errands, ask for a lawyer, etc. this wasn’t craziness this was a triple murder and yall think it’s the HUSBANDS fault? “He remarried” he lost his WHOLE family what else is he supposed to do?

Retired Trauma nurse here. This woman did not have the cognitive bandwidth to make sound decisions or advocate for herself. Yet her husband left her alone with their children. He also didn’t help manage medications or speak to the doctors about her being worse or on too many medications. Let’s be clear being on just one first generation antipsychotic or just one second generation antipsychotic can cause some form of psychosis in some people. Based on the testimony, he was living his best life while she was in hell! He didn’t care about her or the children. The doctors that prescribed the medication are responsible for the murders of those children, and the husband that was neglectful to the point of abuse is responsible for the murder of the children. The physicians should be on trial for murder and have their medical license revoked! The husband should be on trial for murder. In this situation, the husband and the physicians were the ones of sound minds and Lindsay was not. Neither of the husband or the physicians advocated for this woman. Both the husband and the physicians, saw a fire and chose to add fuel to it.
