@w.edits082: Our Holy Mother Mary, full of grace, is the Mother of God. She gave birth to Jesus Christ, who is our Lord and Savior, the Good Shepherd. Mary is the holiest woman in the Catholic Christian faith because God chose her to become the mother of His Son. Through her humble “yes” to God’s will, she became an example of perfect faith, obedience, and trust in the Lord. As Catholics, we honor and love the Blessed Virgin Mary and often ask for her prayers and intercession. However, we do not pray to her in the same way that we pray to God the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit. Worship belongs to God alone. When we pray to Mary, we are asking her to pray for us and to bring our intentions before her Son, Jesus Christ. Mary always leads us closer to Christ, and her greatest desire is that we follow Him faithfully.
