The new anime "Tenmaku no Jaadugar" and the real story of the Khorezm War (Is it a historical distortion or a beautiful story?) Hello, history buffs. I was very upset after watching the first episodes of the recently released anime "Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia" (Tenmaku no Jaadugar), which tells the story of the Mongol Empire. In the anime, the Mongols are shown as barbarians who suddenly attacked the Khorezm (Sartuul) country and destroyed its cities and villages, and the main character, Fatima (Sitara), is portrayed as an innocent victim. I am really worried that foreign viewers will misunderstand the story and be fooled. Therefore, I thought I would remind you of the real historical truth within the framework of this topic and hold a discussion in the group. 1. We did not attack while we were idle (Otrar Massacre): In 1218, Genghis Khan sent more than 450 Muslim merchants with 500 camels as envoys to establish trade relations with the Khorezm state. However, the governor of Otrar, Inalchug, accused them of being "spies", brutally killed them all, and looted their cargo. Not only that, but Genghis Khan's subsequent envoys were insulted and some of them were beheaded, so the Mongols were forced to wage a "Just War of Revenge" against the country, violating international diplomatic law. 2. Who was the main character Fatima? (Is she a real witch?): Although Sitara is shown in the anime as a hero with great wisdom and who will destroy Mongolia, the real story, as recorded in the "Assembly of the Shashtir" by the Persian historian Rashid al-Din, is completely different. She was a foreign captive who gained the trust of Ögedei Khan's queen Torgene (Dörgene) and interfered in the affairs of the palace. Later, during the reign of Guyug Khan, she was accused of "killing Prince Khuden of the Golden Clan with magic and curses," and was executed by having all her wounds sewn up and drowned in the waters of the Boon River. This is the artistic method that the Japanese like to use to show great historical powers as "opponents" and their victims as heroes. Have you all seen this anime? What is your position on the fact that our history is

What exactly do you expect from people who lived in the 1200s? Were human rights even a concept back then, or do you somehow imagine that it was a perfect era where everything was peaceful and ideal? People at that time were primarily concerned with survival—whether they would live or die. And comparing Hitler and Genghis Khan is extremely complicated. You are comparing two completely different eras: the 1200s and the 1900s. Which one do you think had the more developed and civilized society? We did not simply go around killing people without reason. We would first communicate, negotiate, and attempt to reach an agreement; if that failed, then we would resort to conquest. We supported religious freedom and did not force our own language upon the people we ruled. Were your ancestors, or the people you come from, completely free of violence and conquest? Didn’t they impose their own systems and carry out massacres as well? During Mongol rule, the safety of merchants and travelers was strongly protected. A person could travel from one end of the Mongol Empire to the other carrying gold and valuable goods without having to fear being robbed or attacked. To claim that Mongols killed people for absolutely no reason is an oversimplification of history.

do u know war? Why are you trying to apply 21st century perspectives to 13th century events? And judging history from one side of perspective is weird, isn't it obvious that people can change what happened in history if it not make then innocent. I thinks people who is judging history need to judge that history from both sides written history. Also comparing fictional character to fictional character is weird.

"Tenmaku no Jaadugar" & the Khwarezmian War: Historical Reality vs. Fiction I recently watched “Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia” and felt the need to clarify some historical context regarding how the Mongol-Khwarezm war and Fatima are portrayed: 1. The Otrar Massacre (1218): The Mongols did not attack unprovoked. Genghis Khan originally sent a peaceful caravan of 450+ merchants and envoys to establish trade. The governor of Otrar murdered them and stolen their goods, and the Khwarezmshah later beheaded Genghis Khan's ambassadors. The campaign was a direct response to an extreme violation of diplomatic immunity. 2. The Real Fatima: According to Persian historian Rashid al-Din (Jami' al-Tawarikh), Fatima was not a tragic hero saving the realm. She was a captive who gained immense political influence under Töregene Khatun, meddled heavily in court politics, and was eventually executed during Güyük Khan's reign for internal treason and political intrigue. While modern media often uses the trope of "big empire = villain" for storytelling, history is far more nuanced. What are your thoughts on historical accuracy versus artistic expression in anime?

I watched the story of Ghenkis Khan and understood why he went full rage against the enemies, the other tribes of mongolians aren't practicing the right mongolian ways and some of them are abusive. he hated the non - mongolians because they treated them like slaves and some kind of rare beasts depending how many kills they had. Ghenkis Khan became a hero of mongolian people but at the same time becoming a villain. His sons continued the war after his death because of the misinformation "End them all" can't remember what Ghenkis Khan said on his death bed. watched this documentary from YouTube how he died
