@flip.fusion: It’s truly insane that I was able to get all of this for $500! Usually when it comes to necessity/need based items, you have to pay a premium. I assume it was the shear volume that kept the prices low.
A Canning Funnel would work great for loading into bags .

I’d buy a shit ton of the 1” flat head sheet metal screws if you have them they are surprisingly hard to find at hardware stores

Sell the “coffee can.” That weird mixture of screws and stuff that your dad had in a coffee can in his garage. A mishmash that I can pick through when I need that odd screw. I have one but I’ve picked out all the best stuff and haven’t had much to replace it.

as someone who appreciates random fasteners, id probably buy like 10 or 20 pounds of random fasteners, just to have on my shop, for whatever i might need them for.

You need to tape each box at bottom and side to secure the box or one day you Gunna empty a full box or more and hate picking them up. And you nice taped they’ll move easily especially if ya gunna be loading and unloading to take to flee markets

I would make a “bulk sale” 20 pounds of probably 5 different types of screws for $25, lots of people would buy different type screws for the sake of just having them.

Seeing how fascinated the flea market folks are with the magnet getting more smaller ones for them to self serve would definitely keep them entertained lol

Maybe rivet up some tin funnels to catch the product and direct it into the bags?

Do them by weight. Weigh them and have a funnel to pour them into the bags

How about scoops instead of a magnet? Our little hardware store uses scoops for loose screws.

don't let people fill their own bags. they will just make a huge mess you have to clean up and or put the wrong screws back in the wrong boxes etc. take the time, fill your bags and sell them wholesale to the public. they will sell!

You should make a pricing board with 1 of each bolt/screw/nail etc that you have and list the price per pound at the flea market or even online
