I agree with all these takes but missing this many fundamental parts of this character, on top of them trying to fix the mess they made at the end of no way home really made me disappointed in this movie. I was hoping for a friendly neighborhood vibe like they showed in the first 30 minutes, but the rest of the movie was ruining jeans character to push the mcu's poor plot and writing.

This is part of my problem with no way home, it made him meet like four interesting and core villains to his rouge’s gallery but they weren’t his,they were other Spider-Man’s villains and now he can’t really meet them in his universe because he’ll know who they are.

Literally the point of the spell dr strange did was to forget everyone peter parker is spiderman because villains weee coming from other universes to kill him. So it’s obvious we don’t get a villain that has personal issues with him noone knows who he is

We dont need to see him work a job to know he is struggling. We literally see the shitty place he is living in. Also they literally rally with him when he is in the hospital. We see him get the key to the city etc etc. did u even watch the movie?

My biggest need is a battle damaged suit that end fight in Spider-Man 1 when his suit is ruined to fuck is so good man. This doesn’t even really go just for Spider-Man comic book movies as a whole need them

I think the emotional beats wouldve also hit harder if Peter chose to spend all of his free time either working at his job grinding or time as spiderman thus leaving no time to build meaningful connections as peter. this way Peter has a good reason/excuse as to why he has no friends now
