Do not bring cultured food to white kids. I made that mistake by bringing carne de la Mexicana. However bringing that same dish to my AP Spanish class where everyone was Latino, that shit got DEVOURED. They praising it up and down.

I suggest making Leche Flan to my Cooking class teacher. When we made it, everyone else hated it... some of them literally threw their plates into the trash can in front of me😭 Majority of the class consisted of white people and only the indigenous and Indian folks liked it🥹

On a serious note its so sad how kids are taught to hate cultural foods or think it's gross. The ones that grow up turn into my coworkers. 💀 They said my food always smells "Asian" and don't like how the curry smells.

we had more hispanic/latino families at my elementary school and it was all mexican dishes ; there was less pizza and cookies and more tamales, tacos,flan, rice with milk, etc. Felt bad for the white kiddos who didn’t have an appetite for food they weren’t familiar with. Miss those days I ate GOOD

If it makes you feel any better I’m white and my mom decided to send me to school with a tray of RAW SHRIMP AND COCKTAIL SAUCE to 1st grade graduation. No one touches it 😭

I’m not American but Russian and we have many ethnicity so she made unusual Russian pancakes and no one ate it I was in tears… my mom asked if they liked it and I said yes. Everyone enjoyed sweet sugary pancakes and I ate what my mom made
