Better don’t even know where the thermostat is 😭 pull the hose back I guarantee it’s fine. Also is that why Suzuki requires their engine anodes changed like every service? Cause the aluminum is soooo good? Or did they add all those cause they were worried about it corroding cause they used pot metal?

The idea with the zip tie is not to seal it . It’s to stop the hose coming off ! Unlike an American motor with a multi ribbed barb then it is needed to seal . And you’re bagging Yamahas aluminium, where do Suzukis get there chineseium from ?
