INCORRECT. Your “Scapegoat ritual” take is incorrect. Yes, the sins of the people did “get transferred” into one goat and another was released. You are incorrect on the meaning. The one that was sacrificed, was actually the one FREE OF SIN and that was an offering to God. The goat that HAD THE SINS TRANSFERRED is the one that was released into the wilderness. Because in the “wilderness” is where technically the devils were. So it was in a sort of way “returning the sins back to where they come from”.
