My husband actually grabbed a friend of ours because he was acting like he was going to hit me with his dune buggy. We were out in the Sand Dunes and I was standing next to our campfire and our friends were were pulling back into camp. He was driving a Sand Rocket Sandrail with a front 350 crate engine with a blower. There's nothing between the air and this engine. He was truly just playing but all my husband saw was him coming at me and the danger of him not being able to stop quick enough in Sand and push me into the fire or into the engine and blower. My husband grabbed him and was trying to pull him out of the buggy. If he didn't have racing seatbelts on he would have pulled him clean out. I thought my husband over reacted but he didn't agree. They made amends that same evening. but our friend hardly ever joked with me after that. We used to trade snarky sarcastic jokes and that pretty much stopped. Years later my husband passed away from cancer. I was single seven years. Then the wife of our friend passed away from cancer. Well after both of us losing the loves of our lives we remained friends. Our friendship eventually turned romantic and we were married. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of breast cancer there is plus a mutating gene in August 2024. I started chemo on Sept 30, 2024. I think it was too much from him and he passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Oct 15th, 2024. I had two wonderful men and neither one would have ever allowed ANYONE to disrespect me.
