As a now 46yr old woman, who followed those traditional religious frameworks, Married at 19, 7 children….. they can say they are where they want to be now while young, because those young women unfortunately don’t yet understand what they have given up, how vulnerable they really are, and how the story plays out long term.. I am now separated from my husband after decades of coercive control and financial abuse.. and trying to build a life as a middle aged woman with zero career experience, no finances, and no real social support due to extended isolation.
