People want collective punishment for cheaters because they aren’t confident enough/love themselves enough to leave said cheater. 🤷🏾♀️They want the person to be so broken down and rejected by society they can comfortably stay with them without fear of anyone else wanting them lol

all cheating is someone breaks their promise to be loyal to you. the punishment is they lose access to you and face reputational damages in yalls IMMEDIATE circle. If they give stds/ psychologically abuse you/etc then those are SEPARATE crimes which also have separate consequences. I’m tired of people taking the hurt of cheating and needing us to treat it like a bigger crime in and of itself than it is.

also like… if you’re gonna cheat on me… just cheat so i can break up with and hate you. i don’t want to be in a relationship where the only reason my partner doesn’t cheat on me is bcus they would face legal punishment instead of the fact it would hurt me emotionally.
