@luna_vlab: 10/10 wearable robotics ideas for engineering design projects, but they get progressively more niche ⚙️ Robotics engineering gets a lot more interesting once you stop thinking of exoskeletons as “robot suits” and start looking at the design choices behind them. Some use springs instead of motors. Others move heavy hardware closer to the waist, use cables like artificial tendons, read muscle signals, or even add extra robotic limbs. The more niche the designs get, the more they start to blur the line between mechanical engineering, controls, biomechanics, materials, and prosthetics 🦾 What I like about wearable robotics is that the best idea is not always the most powerful one. Sometimes it is just placing the actuator somewhere smarter, storing energy instead of constantly supplying it, or making the machine work with the body instead of forcing the body to work around it. For anyone looking for CAD inspiration, a mechatronics project, or a robotics engineering rabbit hole, these are the kinds of real systems worth studying 🙌 What is the most niche robotics project you have worked on, and what wearable robot should be in part two? #engineeringstudent #mechanicalengineering #roboticsengineering #engineeringtools #tiktoktechcontest
