I have been a postpartum doula for years- I have so much I want to say on this subject. This was perfect. The wrong person is on trial. That man belongs in jail.

These people condemning her are the same people who scream pro-life at the same time cheer when WIC benefits are taken away from a single mom.

I’ll never condemn her because I have been in dissociative psychosis and experienced true loss of time and place and memory. She needed help.

And for all the people saying that “ well, I was pregnant and had a baby and it didn’t happen to me and I didn’t feel like that”GOOD FOR YOU! I’m so happy for you. I however, am living in the depths of hell from PPD and PPA currently circling the drain every single day.

Why do you keep tying support to this case as of Lindsey didn't have any? She had all the resources. She was seeing various providers and in treatment (makes me think she has good insurance, because that's what keeps a lot of us from seeking medical treatment) The two oldest kids were going to day care full time, her parents moved in a period of time to help. Her husband started working from home to be closer. I am sorry, but what more support does one need? I remember having my son and being a stay at home mother and how hard it was. No one helped me. My husband worked and helped me very little with raising our son. He didn't even know where his clothes were kept because he wasn't an involved parent in that way. However, we were taken care financially. It was truly hard being with a baby at home all day, then a toddler and so on. But instead of thinking of harming my son, I made the decision of not having more kids. I knew I could not handle more so I stopped. So, please let's stop excusing MURDER to the "lack" of support.

💯 the moment I heard about this I felt for Lindsey ( and the children of course). Having a baby is so difficult and I'm not talking about the trauma of childbirth. After delivering it is so difficult. Women need a village to help support them and heal. A lot of women don't have this. And it's not the same for men. I had my son and needed to resign my teaching position because he was born with medical issues. My parents had passed several years before. My life looked totally different and I didn't recognize myself. Meanwhile my husband's life still looked pretty much the same. We need to really understand and be supportive to what the mental and emotional load it is to the mother when having children. I think we as women need to be honest to other women about how difficult it really is to have children. I'm not saying they aren't worth it but my husband was clueless as to the amount of work having a child really is. And the toll it can take on a women's physical, emotional and mental health can be very significant.

this is what I've been saying!! I think those of us that can find compassion for her it's because we KNOW what it's like to feel like your drowning and can't get out. maybe she did do it maybe she was lead to believe she did. but I also know she was lost and suffering and my heart does go out to her.

I hope they’re holding their mates accountable when they are spending more time with them than they are with their wife and children when she is showing clear signs of overwhelm and stress begging for help.

lol she had more help than most people had - a husband who worked from home, her parents staying with them, a maternity nurse MIL who helped connect her to resources, a nanny.
