@amber.accountability: Paid partnership with @kiwipop.app #ad We paid off more than $72,000 in credit-card debt, and now I’m thinking more about how to use credit cards intentionally. Before a bigger purchase, I want to think about more than whether I can put it on the card. Does it fit my plan? How will I pay it off? Which card actually makes sense? Kiwipop’s new finance companion, Kiwi, is designed to become more personal over time and provide tailored insights around debt payoff. For a planned purchase, Kiwipop says you can ask Kiwi which card may make more sense based on the rewards available for that purchase. I would still compare that suggestion with my budget, the interest rate, and my plan for paying the balance off. Better rewards don’t automatically make something affordable. What do you check before making a bigger purchase on a credit card? You can check out Kiwipop through the link in my bio or in the Apple App Store. #kiwipoppartner #CreditCardDebt #PersonalFinance #debtfree

RCPHILIPS :
I am $2,000 away from becoming completely debt free. Mortgage, car payments and credit cards paid off. Going forward we have a 4 month emergency fund. All purchases big and small will be made with cash.

I think about the reward, offer and then benefit of each card. 1. rewards am I saving for airline miles for a upcoming trip. 2 does the card have a merchant offer for additional discount or cash back 3 depending on what im buying of the card has the extended warranty as a benefit

Unless it is a house or a car... If you can't pay for it, you don't buy it. And even the car. If you can't pay for it, you take a second hand, not a new one. Best money advice from our parents.

Try to never use credit cards unless you have a plan to pay them off with a time frame that makes sense.

Use a card to get the rewards but then immediately pay off! I plan to not get unless I can pay it off! Unless it’s an absolute emergency!!

I don't make any major purchases on credit card. I might do a little day-to-day things and then turn around and pay it off at the end of the week. I only saved for big purchases now.

Definitely compare products, read reviews, and consider price before any purchase. I have never really understood how rewards on the cards work, so having an AI fill in that blank is amazing!
