To answer the question why people are still voting red, I live in the south so I know- it’s bc the boomers still have a lot of power. They are all voting red. Everyone is still brainwashed against socialism (product of the red scare when they were younger) which is why they refuse to vote dem. The Brainwashing has lasted a very long time
