Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has officially shaken the political landscape of the Coast region by endorsing Nyali MP Mohamed Ali, popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu, for the Mombasa Gubernatorial seat. In a high-stakes move during the "Ziara Ya Ukombozi" tour today, April 25, 2026, Kalonzo handed Ali a direct Wiper Party ticket. This strategic decision aims to consolidate the opposition's strength in Mombasa, a region where the Wiper Party historically enjoys massive voter support. The endorsement was a collaborative effort between Kalonzo Musyoka and the leader of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), Rigathi Gachagua.
