They rear ended her so hard they moved her vehicle. They could have shoved her car into traffic even just enough to be clipped by an oncoming car. They’ve got a baby but her safety is a non issue here????? They should have been careful because they have a child, the child doesn’t get them out of consequences for their reckless actions

If it’s so late at night that her car didn’t get hit by oncoming traffic, they should be thanking god they hit her and not some psycho with a gun looking for an excuse to shoot while no one is around. A higher insurance bill sucks, but at least they’re alive to have it.

If the people who ran into OP offered to pay for the repairs out of pocket, then maybe OP could consider not reporting but honestly it sounds like the damage would have been too expensive for that. Not OP's fault, this is literally what insurance is for.

I will say that in large jurisdictions right now like I live in Dallas and the police will not come to your minor accident because they’re dealing with bigger shit so it doesn’t matter if you have a police report it’s also he said versus she said if you didn’t have a camera that caught it, but if you have the camera obviously the insurance can determine it wasn’t your fault.
