@kelseyalfred: hip replacement journey: week 3 post-op update 🩵 A new symptom popped up during recovery that has me a little concerned. I started experiencing a strange stinging and burning sensation along my lower inner calf that almost feels like a bug bite, but without anything actually being there. My first thought is that it could be nerve-related, especially with everything my body has been through, but I’m also trying not to ignore anything unusual during post-op recovery. One of my concerns is whether it could potentially be a DVT. I already have an ultrasound scheduled next week to check for a blood clot because of another symptom I’ve been experiencing, so I’m hoping to get some answers and reassurance. Recovery has been a lot of listening to my body, trying to figure out what’s normal, what’s concerning, and when it’s important to advocate for myself.
