i’ve been shipping wenclair for 3+ years now, and although i believe they have romantic interest in each other, i don’t think that they’d actually work out as a couple. enid confessing that wednesday was her pack was a very clear confession for her feelings towards her. in lycanthropy, she’s basically saying wednesday is everything to her. wednesday also has a very clear soft spot for enid, she tolerates her more than anyone in the series and has even voluntarily hugged her. but enid’s need for attention and physical touch is something that i don’t think wednesday is capable of fulfilling

I think they would only ever work as friends, and I think the cutest part about it is that they don’t have any sisters, so it makes even more sense why they’re so attached to each other 🥹

Well Enid is quite insecure at the moment and every season she gets better with her need for reassurance. Like her need for reassurance isn’t a trait. It is obstacle to overcome and she is becoming more confident in who she is every season. That is why Wenclair is so popular. Both Wednesday and Enid are unapologetically themselves and bring out the best in one another and they grow from one another. Enid is learning to be more internally self confident. While Wednesday is learning to open up. So I think they would work. I just think both need to go through more development independently before they could work long term.

If I may share my personal opinion: from my perspective, there is much more than just friendship—even a deep "best friend" kind of bond—between Wednesday and Enid. You can see this in many small details. For instance, take the nasty fight where Enid left their room; Wednesday sat on the floor by the window, looking absolutely heartbroken. Then there were the looks they exchanged—especially Enid’s, which conveyed sadness, pain, and the fear of losing Wednesday. There was also the way Enid tried to protect her from the Hyde, and the moment Wednesday was saving her manuscript from the burning woodpile. Then came that famous, incredibly tender hug at the end of Season 1, where Enid looked like she was on the verge of tears. Later, she saved Wednesday by transforming into a werewolf at the end of Season 2—doing so despite the risk of losing her human side. And, of course, those 14 seconds where neither Wednesday nor Enid looked away from the other. Furthermore, in werewolf language, the phrase "You are my pack" means "You are my family, and I will always choose you above everything and everyone else." In my opinion, they would make a wonderful couple in Season 3; I really hope this pure, strong, and sincere love is allowed to come to light, and that they can be happy together forever.

see, I think that’s such an oversight on enid’s character growth. she’s developed with each season so far and that perfectly matches the struggle that wednesdays growth is also having. at the end of season 2 enid is reaching the point in her growth where she has accepted that she’s giving parts of herself to people who don’t deserve it just out of her need to belong. that’s why she told wednesday that she is her pack, that growth has reached that point where she’s starting to look at the bigger picture and now that she knows that wednesday was trying to save her she’s had some realizations. I’m not saying they’re going to become romantic but I can’t say the option isn’t there because it could be. the plot is really just starting to develop as of now. season 3 is going to be heavy on the werewolf lore too so we never know where her character is going to go.
