Saying that it's a permanent solution to a temporary problem is just dismissing the person's suffering. And that makes no sense because some suffering happens a lot to someone throughout their life. I don't disagree with him entirely but it's simply dismissal.

What if the temporary problem has been temporary their entire life at what point does temporary become permanent because as somebody living with something that’s been supposedly temporary it feels pretty fucking permanent no matter how much therapy or help guidance love support the same bullshit just comes back at what point do you just accept the fact and move on?
