I can remember in the 70s being rained on while walking in the mall. It was the largest open air mall in the country when it opened! I dont live on the east side anymore but work litterally across the street so it will be missed!!! good things to come!!

Old locals, like me, knew Lloyd Center was bound for destruction when they put a roof on it and tried to make it as mundane as all the other malls around the country. They put the roof on at the end of the 1980s. It was a gorgeous open air mall before that.

I don’t even want to go because I’ll just cry the whole time. Even looking at this, I’m crying right now. I can’t believe they’re taking away our childhoods, our youth will never know the glory of the Lloyd center and that fact pains me deeply. This was my favorite mall and I’m so heartbroken 💔

Transportation is the biggest reason I never really went to this mall in my adult life. Had to park to go here in highschool and said fuck no to ever going here again

Spent a lot of time when I was a kid shopping there as I got older the popcorn for sure. It’s very traditional to be there at Christmas.

I have always loved this mall,been to it a lot. after covid it got worse an worse.it was a ghost town for awhile. all the malls will be gone soon .online shopping has killed them
